I am always happy with the actual care, it is just that it would seem that you need to make an appointment to be ill!!......i.e. you are ill now but the only appointment available is 10/14 days later.
We have many different types of appointments to deal with these situations. Routines - which can be booked up to six weeks in advance (this is to ensure you can see the GP of your choice) On the Day - a few appointments are embargoed until the morning (and 2pm for afternoon appointments) for each GP for patients with more acute problems that cannot wait and then.... Urgent appointments - this are for for the Duty GP. We have one appointed each day to deal with urgent cases. We also have telephone advice slots with GPs and Nurses. If you are able to tell the Receptionist the nature of your call, they will endeavour to put you with the most appropriate clinician. Please bear in mind that if your call is of an urgent nature you will be given the next available appointment time.
Felt very unwell dealt with by a doctor. Not a practise nurse. Within the same day.
I phoned at 8.00 and was given an appointment. There are lots of leaflets in the reception and found the very informative.
It is very encouraging to see that the system does work. We are also very glad you found the leaflet information helpful. We also hope you are feeling much better?
I have been a patient at this surgery for over 30 years and have always been treated with the greatest respect and care. Yes, it is sometimes difficult to get an appointment as is car parking, but it is the same at most GP practices The staff are always friendly and helpful. The additional blood test service is particularly beneficial and saves the long journey, and wait, at Broomfield Hospital. I would like to see the return of Saturday morning surgeries as this would benefit those members of the public who work and are unable to attend during surgery hours.
Thank you for taking the time to comment on our services. Our new blood taking service is open to all patients now as we have sevured a second pick up from the hospital lab, so it is encouraging to see that patients are pleased with this service. Currently there are no plans to open on a saturday, but we will be looking at working collaboratively with our other GP colleagues in Chelmsford and the wider Mid Essex Group to work in a different way. Just for information when we previously opened on a Saturday Morning, the appointments were not taken up by workers. We saw the same patients who could have attended in the week. Unfortunately we cannot specify who we can or cannot see and therin lies the dilema.
This has been my surgery since we moved here 5 years ago. I have 2 children who whenever had health issues have been seen straight away. My little girl loves the fact that there's kids books laid out with the adult magazines. Also like the way the doctors treat the children with respect. Happy with the surgery and staff. Have already recommended to others.
It is lovely to hear the experience of a mother with young children...thank you. Explaining your symptoms to the receptionist when you call can clearly help you to be directed to the right clinician within the right time.
As I have been ill for 18 months all the doctors at Sutherland Lodge been great to help me. I have only had one surgery before I moved to Gt. Baddow, and this surgery is the best.
Thank you for taking time out of your day to express your thoughts about this Surgery. We hope that we can continue to be of help and support in the future.
